R2 Joint project with Sarawak Children Cancer Society

Dear Lions and Friends,

“Why are we here today? What is the purpose today?” One of the Leos asked me. Then I told the Leo, “We brought the cancer children and their family for a family outgoing day.” It seems so right but not actually correct. One of the senior lion, the mandarin president, told us that “It was the last time for some cancer children to have this kind of outgoing day with their parents. We might not see them the next year. It could be their last chance.” The moment I heard it, it touched me and I started to feel sad. It was touched because we have the opportunity to take part in this kind of event. It was sad because the kid will be leaving us and we can do nothing. The happiness that we are bringing them is so short and useless. What they really need is a healthy body, we cannot give them. We can only pray for them.

Where are we today? Do we really give thanks with what we have? After attending the project, it makes me feel it is a need to pay more attention to our family, our home. Family is the most important part of our lives. When we face any difficulty, we think about family. When we are tired, we think our home. No matter how far we go, how high we fly, how successful we are, how upset we are, how hard is the road in front, our home is there waiting for us to come back! The door is open for us! We never know what will happen to us tomorrow. My dear fellow lions and friends, please grab the opportunity when we still having one!

R2 International Relationship - MD 381 Guang Dong DG

Dear Lions and friends,

Time flies. Here it ends the trip of China MD 381 Guang Dong lions and DG. The three days trips is extremely short. In chinese, there is a verse “有朋自遠方來，不亦樂乎”. Ya, we truly experienced it. In 18 Nov, they came here and we welcomed them with full of joy. We brought them to many places. Their happiness on their faces touched us, making us feeling that it is worth for everything. Everyone is HIGH!! Now we can only recall it in the pictures and memory. We really miss them. Everyone shows unwillingness in the airport for their leaving. We looking forward for their visit next time!

R1 & R2 joint project with Lions Nursing Home Kuching

Dear Lions and Friends,

Here it came another project, R1 and R2 lions were having a charity food fair at Lions Nursing
Home Kuching.

It was so fun. I really do not know how to explain it because i was not there and was regretting now!

R1 & R2 Joint Project with Sarawak Society for the Deaf

Dear lions and friend,

Work with the Deaf is another vision of lions clubs. We cares them. Lions clubs strive to help these in need, whatever and wherever need exists. In the project, we experience, we can even imagine how difficult would be if we are not able to hear. Some of them, were not born to be so but because of accidents. They can be cured! They need us! They need financial support to buy the hearing aids.

Can we imagine, one day, if we can no longer hearing the person who we loves and the person who loves us, calling our name? What would it be? It becomes also a world without the music, we can no longer having karaoke...Please, please, lions and friends, show your hand to these people. They were doing the car wash servicing for the charity. May be you miss up this year. Please join next year!

Drug awareness Campaign

Dear Fellow lions and friends,

Did you know how many drugs are there? Did you know the drugs are harming the life of our children or students in the school?

This drug awareness was proudly organized by UCS and the lions club of sibu seduan, with the help from the police department and the drug center.

Most of time, youngster took the drug because of their friends and curiosity. And, sometimes, being challenged by their friends and trapped. Drug is a kind of medicine. It is not a drug if there were used properly according to the advise of the doctor. Drug, is a drug when there were abused in the wrong way, wrong time, wrong circumstances. It harms our lives seriously. Once we took it, it controls us.

Dear Lions and friends, in our lives, there were a lot of drugs in our lives. We may not see it. Yet, we addicted to it. Do you ever feel addicted to bad behaviour which actually you hate most but you cannot get rid of it, like easy to get angry, lazy and others. How to get rid of it? I also do not know but people say, "through god, it is possible". It depends on you to believe it or not.

Let us cares more our friends and our leos in school. We do not hope that one day our leos become a drug addicted. It was such a shame!! Guys, do more projects and provides more cares and loves to our surrounding people.

R2 Joint project - AT KAPIT

Dear Lions and Friends,

This time region 2 reached the Kapit. We had a Joint Project of the following in one go:
1) Diabetes awareness campaign
2) Assistance to Needy Children
3) Health Screening
4) Tree Planting

Lions is really strong huh!! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!!

It is held at Sk. Ng. Yong Kapit. Ooh!! did you miss the project again? Where are you??
